Curating a Community

The HUL PC Generation Conference, recently held in Goa from the 10th to 12th August 2016, garnered a great response and played host to a large number of attendees. Spread across 2 1\2 days, the main objective of this residential conference was to drive Engagement. To engage each and every attendee with every aspect of event content. And the best way to do that was to bring the event to the fingertips of the attendees. Through a multi feature interactive Event app.

Fuelling engagement through interaction via features like Conversations, Polls, and e-Kit, the app was an instant success and generated a huge buzz with most of the attendees actively engaging on it throughout the event, right from the pre event phase to the post event phase.

The numbers did all the talking! The app saw a total of 45,000+ in-app engagement! The Leaderboard feature played a significant role in achieving this grand number. Crafted with the objective to build a sense of interaction and community amongst the attendees, this feature tapped into the competitive streak of human psyche and fuelled a sense of competition amongst the attendees by constantly rewarding them with points for being engaged on the app and eventually incentivizing them with a gratification.

The app also witnessed a huge amount of e-Kit document views indicating that attendees used the app as a prime medium to access information in real-time.

The App you created for the HUL PC Conference 2016, which turned out to be an absolutely great idea as people had a lot of fun engaging with it. Not only did people get the conference agenda, tickets and other details on it, we had also encouraged participation with prizes making the ‘leaderboard’ and the posts around it lunchtime conversations in the days leading to the conference! And the participation saw everyone from our senior leadership to our newbies go all-out to get that extra LIKE to be on top. The interface was simple & easy to use to get people from ’comfortable’ to ‘hooked’ in less than 36 hours.
